Okay, this ride is on! Looks like Cannell the Plunge one day and Just Outstanding the other. We may even split it up into two seperate rides if others want to do something else. I'm working on a shuttle, but this may not come thru, so be prepared to pay the 30 bucks to MRA for a shuttle. If I can set something up we should still put in 15 bucks or so to the driver/owner of the trailer. The dates are the 15th to the 17th. Camping is still up in the air, but I'll see what I can reserve. Please don't delay to long in signing up as I'll need to have some firm numbers in two weeks.

Tin, I think you have to bring the Nicolai again this year. It's no fair you riding that Sworks!!!
![]() I carried 200 ozs of water last year and I was thinking instead of trying to buy a water filter that hooks up with the camelbak so that I don't have to carry so much weight at the beginning of the ride. That spring we passed should be running, right? Mike? Jeff?

This time I will let somebody else lead for I don't take us on the extra credit like last year. There is a natural spring there that I have drank from two or three times and have never had a problem. Jeff has drank from it a lot more. The water is clean, clear and cold. But like I said follow Jeff, not me!

Yes, I'm sure the spring will be running. I never bring more than my 100 oz bladder. I usually dump out whatever water I have and refill at the spring.
This last weekend one of my freinds rode his motorcycle up Cannell from the bottom. He reported good trail conditions on the plunge section. They made it to the section above Big Meadow but were turned around by many downed trees. He said there were some huge trees on the trail. He saw no snow and they made up to around 8500'. It sounds like the trail crew needs to get busy. |

Nice, sounds like besides the down trees needing to be cut, the trails looks ready already. Jeff is a excellent riders so he dont need much water. Im still going to top off my 100 oz. and bringing an extra water bottle. Im pretty sure someone out there will need it. Ill follow mike for the extra credit ride. Its so worth it to put in a few extra 1000 meters up there. I cant wait, LOL. Marking on the calender and counting down. Keep us updated Jeff. By the way, hows the weather there. Its frekin hot down here.

MRA was in a nice spot 'cause it's maybe a mile from the end of the trail so you just ride the road a little way back to your campground. |
