Default SART Anyone?

So, I think I'll ride the coat-tails of all the big group rides lately and throw out the idea of organizing a big, fun SART ride. I was thinking either the weekends of 5/12-13, or 5/19-20. It can be either Sat. or Sun., whichever day will bring out the most people/fun.
Any ideas/imput?
Ben

EDIT: So I just realized that 5/12-13 is mothers day weekend so we can push back the date to the weekend after Memorial day if that helps.

5-12 is also the Toad Festival of which I'm already signed up for. Lots of fun.

Disregard what Jose was saying....SART is real easy on a SS. Afterall, it's all downhill.

I'm not a SSer (I want to be when I grow up), and I SS'd once at SART. We did something like 17-20 miles. It wasn't THAT bad!

After thinking about it and looking at my calender, the month of may is pretty much booked up. June 2/3 sounds like a viable plan.
...So, 6/2 or 3 it is?

Pacman has me interested in this ride now. I haven’t heard of this trail but the photos on Mountain Bike Bill’s website look sweet. Does anyone have the location or coordinates of where to meet? Also what time would the ride start? Not sure how far the trail is from San Diego and if I could make it up in time.

NappyT, here is the route we plan on doing, although expect some changes as we get closer to the ride date:
Geoladders -- Santa Ana River Trail (SART)
It was a blast the last time I did it and I'm looking foward to going back.
Where in SD do you live? I'm in the o'side area and I'm giving myself 1-1/2 - 2 hrs to get there. This way I can stop, grab some food and be there in time.

To throw something out there about SART, there has been talk of the "night ride" at SART.
Camp at Southfork on a saturday night, start hitting the trail around 7ish and use shuttles for quick trips.
Back to the campsite(s) around 10ish for bonfire and beers.
Wake up sunday and then possibly hit the Jenks lake trail or whatever trail that is across the road....Dean??....I have heard about or hit SART in its full glory.
Thinking late June, early July??
Oh, I am in if you go one the 3rd, Sunday.
I love SART but think it might be time to bring the CX rig back for another round SSing is so 2006!

I'm down in Linda Vista near Fashion Valley Mall. So that would make the trip about 2.5 hours. That might work... Thanks for the reply.
