Just wanted to bump this so anyone planning on going can RSVP so we make sure to look out for you at the trailhead.

I'd like to meet at 8:30 and be RIDING by 9 am. Currently planning on doing the Old San Juan route, but depending we may do a Chiquito stint.

SS's preferred, but those riding geared are welcome. We just get to tease you all day. Oh, and you bring the beer!

Hey guys/girls. I just got back from Jenson with my new SS frame and a nice set of Mavic hoops, so I'm looking forward to riding with you all again on Sat.
I'll post a photo or two after dinner tonight when I get it all together.

There needs to be a Hero's thread in the water cooler section. BTW, I didn't particularily like tonight's episode, kinda boring. Back to LOST.

You need to embrace the darkness man! Its not everyday someone stabs their own mother through the chest with a large pair of scissors you know - thats the kind of thing that would make you want to go atomic!

Ideas for watercooler threads:

Heroes
Battlestar Galactica
LOST (I hear its awesome but never saw it)

I love Lost, way too many theories floating around in my head.

That was kind of accidental, though, wasn't it?

Do you guys think there's going to be, like, a different set of people next season or something? I'm kind of confused by some of the comments. I assumed it'd just be the same people, maybe some new ones, maybe a few others might be brain food.

If there isn't a Heroe's thread yet, I'll start one.

Default gears

What gears are good for sjt?
I am a little concerned about getting stuck on the exposed switchbacks in the middle. I am currently running 32x16. Might be a little heavy for a 96er on this ride.

I basically have NO SS skills, so I'm running 32X21 on my 26". Justin will be riding a 32x22 on his 29er.

Aqua uses a 22T also, but not sure what chain ring he uses up front.

A stronger climber should be fine with 32x18 on 26 and maybe 32x20 on 29?

The switchbacks are tight and twisty and there are plenty of places where you'd normally be cruising the granny ring...even a few places where you have to get off so this should truly be a suffer-fest.....Allison is clearly into torture.......hmmmm but then we all signed up for it too........

(I'll be running 32:20 on 26")
