irrespective of cost suggest if u plan to park you get there early. did this ride last year (was good time ). headed out early and i got the very last parking spot at school below park (overflow). one of my riding buds had to have his wife drop him off. there was also a whack accident at the bottom of park on PCH so am sure contributed to some "parking" craziness but be advised.

We own the parking lot for this event and we have decided that $10 is too much to pay for parking. Parking will $3 for SHARE or CCIA members, $5 for everyone else. We have also decided to honor State Park passes so as not to piss anyone off.

Be forewarned though, as of today we still do not have the permit approved to use the school lot because of some political issues. It is possible that we will not be able to use that lot. The next closest parking lot will be across PCH at the Pelican Point lot and we do not own that one for the event.

We have some new checkpoint locations this year. One of the unique things about this ride is that there is no set route so there is some navigation and planning involved. Just to make sure everyone has the same opportunity to win, I would prefer not to reveal the checkpoint locations.
Johnny knows because we rode together this morning but he is sworn to secrecy.

Chopper:

shot you an email to see if you still need volunteers. I'm willing to ride in to be a "remote" card table
