Default SUNDAY OC ride

Anyone riding this Sunday in the OC? I'm picking up the Blur from Garage Works tomorrow and it needs a test ride!

What did GarageWorks do for you?
I have been curious about them.

Those dudes are so cool!
1. Overhaul front fork
2. Remove Fox shock and sent to Fox for Leaking repairs. They don't work on some Fox units. But they are letting me borrow a 5th Element Air loaner to ride while waiting for Fox to return.
3. Review of wieght, riding style and set-up complete suspension system for an hour an explain how to tweak.

I'll post a new thread later with all of my review. stay tuned.

That is some good stuff. I bet many of us are riding around without our suspensions setup correctly.

Yep. I have my Santa Cruz factory air rate specs but it was too bumpy in the rough, and not carrying corners. I was riding weird to compensate and jacking with tire air pressure . They are going to go over rebound rates, compression rates, bump threashold valve rate and shock air inflations to consider my riding style and weight (inlcuding beer belly and camel back wight) to dial me in. I'll probably be in there Monday night since they were closed for Sea Otter yesterday. It sounds very rookie for the seasoned rider I know but it's more of education for me as I am terrible with all of those adjustments. You know what it's like...get it all set up perfectly and then change one thing that you forgot to change back and the whole thing gets screwy. Something to be said about you single speed rigid dudes!!!!

Well now, I wouldn't go THAT FAR!

I agree that most of us are probably mis-adjusting things. Very cool of Garage Works to take the time with their customers to go over all the settings.

Settings are really a matter of preference. If it's working for you, is it still wrong? Everybody has a different riding style and some like more plush then others. It all depends on what you want. Factory settings are not always the best settings.

Good point - I'll rephrase: I'd bet many of us are riding with settings that are less than optimal for our preferred style, or are riding with the settings they have just because they don't feel comfortable messing with things too much. Either way, it's cool of GW to help people understand their options.
