Craig - is there a geoladders upload for this route? (Curious as to distance, etc.)
Allison - Yes. There is under the personal routes. I believe it is under palm canyon... Point to point, it is around 30 miles.

No. Wrong person. I ride a green SC Julianna with a Frog. I'm Sprockethead's other half (but better).

Craig - if this is the route Geoladders -- Pine View Rd to Palm Springs Epic I can post it up on EGOladders for some extra points for all of us. Looks pretty close!

What is the best bike for this route? An all mountain bike, or 1x9 29er soft tail?

Hopefully we'll have enough tubes to get us through

Yeah cause the other half will lie to you and say "Yeah, it's not that bad of a ride or the It's only around the corner."

This is one ride that more is better... suspension that is. I've done this hard and soft... soft being much more fun... especially on that long rocky downhill at the end.... trust me!

Allison - I am having the same problem. I have a Kona Unit SS 29er and my trail bike. I am leaning toward the trail bike though. Both would be great in different ways.... Hope that helps!

How is that helpful? Just kidding.

Man. Like, I LOVE the Enduro at Noble and don't mind grinding away in granny gear because I know I'll have a blast bombing down the trail.

Which bike do you prefer at Noble?

OMR - So it's worth it to have the additional travel/suspension for the ride? I have NO idea what to expect!

Sounds like I'll consider taking the big'un though.

There's really nothing too technical on this ride. Just miles and smiles. I bet you'd have more fun on your "Angry Inch 29r"

I haven't ridden my kona unit 29 yet at Noble... How was it on your 1x9? What fork do you have?

Craig is right though, it isn't technical for that much of the ride. But, there are technical spots.... Hope that helps...

Since someone already mentioned bringing enough tubes, I thought I would ask everyone to make sure that have some sort of thorn prevention. ie: stans, tuffy liners, slime, etc. It saves a lot of time from not having to change flats. The first time I did this ride, I got 8 flats. Just a heads up....

I've never ridden the 29er at Noble I've been riding the Enduro the past few times! I have the Reba at 80mm on my 29er, though.

I'll probably just take that. Anything it can't handle I'll just walk!
