Noble Canyon Take 2

Ok, this will be my first time there. I live in the eastern side of oceanside. Mapquest says to take the 5 to the 8. Would the 15 be easier/faster? Is the trailhead easy to find? Just to be sure mapquest says it's on Pine Creek rd.. Is that correct? Look forward to meeting and riding with all of you!

Take 5 or 15 to 52E to 125S to 8E. Thats how I roll and it usually takes +/- an hour to get there. I'm leaving from O'side and can meet you if you want to follow.

Ok, you're right around the corner from me. I live in Rancho del Oro, off of Old Grove and Mesa. Let's meet at the McD's on College and O'side blvd at 6:30. My cell is 714-369-9037. I drive a green Nissan pick-up.

Huge day on the trail yesterday. I can honestly say that the ride yesterday with fellow STR riders was the best ride I have been on in a long time.

Our day didn't go too bad. We drove up to Fallbrook to my parents' house--to where my Yeti was. I let Jeremy ride my Reign and I rode the Yeti. We busted out a good 3 hour ride.

We also ran into an old friend of mine on the trail, about halfway through the ride. We got to catch up on life since the last time we rode together and he rode with us the rest of the day, so it all turned out pretty good.

Glad you guys had a good time. I wish we could've stayed. I'm down for the next one for sure.

I'm thinking of hitting up SART with you guys next month.

Ok, so it's 12:15pm on Sun afternoon and I finally have the energy to recap the ride. This, by far, was the best time I have ever had at Noble. Thank you so much to everyone for every laugh, and smile. I can't wait to see the photo's and I'm looking foward to the next ride at SJT!

The ride started out okay. We all took off up Extra Credit and it seemed to be going okay. At the first re-group Doug and his friend Jeremy walked up. Jeremy had a broken chain stay. They both headed back down to the parking area.

After our multiple-mechanical ride during the Palm Canyon epic, we were all a little nervous about the next thing to go wrong!

Wasn't long after that Ben ended up having his derailleur hanger break off. No worries! He had brought a spare!

We were off really quickly, and Aqua had caught up with Mark, Rex, and Bret. The STR group went up Alpe du Wheez and Aqua's group went up Elbon.

I did something I'd never done before - rode the entirety of the road portion without stopping! Thanks to Steven for keeping me company during the suffering. He got to the top first, followed shortly by Ben, who came out of nowhere to take 2nd

Just when we thought we were out of the woods, Aqua had a mechanical of sorts. I'll let you check it out. Climbing up Indian Creek Tom put a tube in after removing his Stan's that wasn't really sealing. Two flats on Pinball. As far as I can remember, those were the final two bike issues! We had a few crashes, but nothing major. Though, Wally did fall off Organ Donor and scrape up his knee pretty good

Great ride. Long day, as usual, but we had a good group and I had a blast!! Thanks all who came out. Looking forward to riding with a few of next Saturday on the San Juan suffer fest
