Default Holy Jim - Trabuco

We're riding the Toad Fest route 8am Sat. Ann has never been on it and she'd like to check it out before the event. It'll be a casual ride so we're not going to be rocketing up to the Main Divide. Anyone interested?

Meeting is at the start of Trabuco Creek Rd.

My mind is very interested. It'll have a chat with my legs, and they'll get back to you.
Oh yeah: The long route or short? ;-)

I thought I saw you guys there last year? Maybe just you?

Bring the Nomad, A. None of that lightweight XC stuff this year.

Such a great loop. I think my Saturday is wide open, too. If it stays that way I'll be there.

Will do, I'll be on the mad. Ann didn't ride the Toad Fest last year, she met me at O'Neil afterwards. The T.F. event is what motivated her to do CC.

I'm guessing it's the long route because we're riding Trabuco Creek all the way in and out. If you'd like to park at the HJ trailhead, that's cool too.

I'll be there in spirit - kind of like Obi-Wan guiding you along the way and steering you clear of the dark side. 'These arent the trails you're looking for, move along'

Keith,
give my legs the "spirit" to climb and climb and climb....with enough left over to walk to the pub later.

Justin and I may get up early, but start from our side. We'd climb up to Trabuco from Blue Jay, descend Trabuco and meet you guys at the bottom of Holy Jim. What time do you estimate you'll be there from Trabuco Creek Rd?

I'm guessing 8:45ish? It's been almost a year since I've ridden up Trabuco Creek Rd. Do you guys have walkie talkies? We can bring ours and give you a call. I'm not sure if cell phones work in the canyon.

Um, we did. I honestly don't know where they're at But we can meet at like 8:45 at the bottom of Holy Jim. We'll probably take off from Blue Jay at 7:30 then. We'd like to meet up and climb with you guys!

saturday is my g/f's birthday, so i cant do this ride. xhuskr, you should just ride the road in, it is mellow and is a nice warm up...and depending on who is driving, it doesnt take that much more time to ride back there than it does to drive.

Geoladders -- Holy Jim - Trabuco Trail

96 pts for ya, maybe you can catch Keith B now since he's on the DL. I'll post the ride tomorrow on Geoladders if anybody wants Group Ride Ego pts.

Pretty sure we'll be down at the bottom of Holy Jim. Hopefully around 8:30-8:45. I'll post tomorrow if that changes, but we should be there. We'll enjoy the suffering of climbing Trabuco's one of my fave descents in So Cal, though!
