Mark on the way up

Justin doin' a 'lil pose -

Walk of shame!!

To be honest, it is difficult to get a groove on Indian Creek if techy climbing isn't your thing. Tough to restart if you do have to get off the bike since all the little rocks thwart forward progress from a stop!

Token handlebar shot -

Descent, at last! Pinball -

Climbing up more -

The group on BLT -

Well, the water was probably on at Penny Pines, but they had a really fancy looking cardboard hand-written sign that said it was unsafe to drink "USFS". We didn't take our chances. Rode out to the Big Laguna campground instead, and what do you know? We ran into the Aquaholic on the way there!

Justin tried out the Jones for the first time (as did mostly everyone else! SWEET ride!) -

The group invaded a campsite -

Aqua pedaled the Socom around for about 5 minutes before getting tired! (It's only 20lbs more than his Jones)

Log jump on Middle Earth -

Andy ended up having to get a hand-built spoke correction from the Mann.

Heading back to BLT before the final descent down Noble

Aqua on baby's back -

Somewhat of a sequence shot of Aqua on the switchback before Stairway to Hell -

Last shot of the day -

It ended up being almost a 10 hour day (09:44:00). We hadn't really planned on having to go all the way back to the campground, and once there we all rested for a long time in the shade (it was nice to escape the heat!), and then we went up Middle Earth and had a mechanical forced brake (er, break ).

Thus, we skipped out on climbing up Whore and descending Extra Credit as we didn't want to run out of daylight. My Edge shut off at some point so I think I missed out on a few miles. I had just under 32 miles and 4600ft of climbing.

Hope that anyone that missed out this past Saturday can make it out next weekend! Had a blast.

Thanks to all who came and added to a great day

Anytime! Noble's a great ride. Hope everyone didn't mind the SUPER long day Hope it was worth it!!

FWIW, the Chargers drafted two WR's, a S, ILB, and a TE. As of yesterday morning, anyway. Didn't check back. Hope the WR's can help out, since we've got a few #2's. We really need help in the secondary, so hopefully that guy's got it going on!

Too bad you didn't get video of me missing this bridge. It was the best tuck and roll I've ever done. To top it off, not only did I fall in front of everyone, but Ann and Doug saw it and they were a couple of switchbacks behind me up on the hill!

Anytime! Thanks for making the trek down! You'll have to show us around Chilao some time this fall.

It was an awesome ride for sure. I am already looking forward to doing it again this Saturday.

Allison--my GPS put us at a little over 35 miles, so if yours shut off at 32, it was still pretty close. I'm guessing it may have been another 100' or so of ascent at most?? Just a guess. I still haven't gotten around to plugging my GPS into my computer to see what numbers it came up with.

Thanks again to everyone who came out. It was a looooong day, but an awesome one at that.

See you this Saturday

Any pics of Aqua's favorite climb "Waterfall"? Has it been dumbed-down by trail changes?

Other Doug - nope, no photos of that. Pretty sure no one in the group attempted it last Saturday. Aqua had long cleared it by the time we came through.

Don't think there have been any changes to it, though.
