Default Santa Barbra Tunnel on the 15th anyone?

My weekends are getting booked real quick.
I'd like to ride SB again before the summer heat is in full force.
I'm open on the route.
I like Cold Springs first and then Tunnel. If there is anything left in the tank Jesusita is right there. But hey, I'm open to what ever.

I'm a strong maybe on this one. I'd say 80%.

I hope a real early start is planned. Sunday pm traffic through LA is a beyotch.

EDIT - Work be damned. I'm in. Just got my Shock back from Fox and it needs a good flogging.

I'm ok with early. I'm working that Saturday and most other Sundays so... That's why I picked that day.

I've never seen a booby trap up there. I've hear the tales. Hikers we just kill with kindness and never seem to have problems. Bells will be on the bikes. C'Mon.

Is this ride still gonna happen? Ya have a group going? Suzanne is out of town next weekend, so I am thinking this might be a good time to go.

So far it's just myself and El Borracho. Just need one more person willing to drive up. So ..... If you go we'll be set.

Check under ""Personal Routes" and look for Tunnel

Both Tunnel and Coldsprings are pure DH shuttles. each is about 4 miles. Takes about 35-45 mins. each. Lots of chunky rock.

I can drive as well. I have a Sportworks 4-bike rack and room for bikes in the bed of my truck. 6 peeps in the cab for shuttling

El B - hit me up if you want to carpool. Will the Dirt Bag be making an appearance?

Well this is shaping up nice.
El B was going to ride up with me but.... He's closer to Cal Epic and I'm closer to mtbikej. So maybe that would work out better.
If we only have 2 trucks I think Tunnel/Jesusita would be the ticket. If one other person drives up we could prolly squeeze in Cold Springs too. (and that would be nice but no biggie either way)

I don't mind driving by myself......if that will make it easier.

Default Well, Hell.

Looks like Chiquito will have to wait another week or five.

This sounds like a great time, been wanting to hit Tunnel for ages. I'm in if there's room, can drive myself and one more if there's not.

Guero,

If you're on the fence about this ride, do it! My brother went with Dave last time and even though he said it was the most technically challenging riding he has done; he also talks about it on a regular basis. I feel like I missed out by not having a capable fully for it last year. Hopefully that will change here pretty soon and there will be one more outing to join in on before the heat gets outta control.
