You may want to post some pics or video of the first time you set that tent up, could be good entertainment!

That was mostly just a joke cause two engineers were trying to put together an REI tent and it took awhile up in Idyllwild

Showers? What do you need showers for when we have a lake?? I'm hoping to grab some large dino and killer whale rafts for the lake.

Sauce you asked about the xc guys riding the dh course in D-ville. The xc course is something like this in D-ville. It starts a few miles from the bottom of the dh course and climbs and traverses to the start of the dh course. It them, pretty much, descends the dh course. It finishes in town. By the time the xc guys get to the dh portion of the ride, we are pretty beat. The dh guys are fresh and can really power down the trail.
This is not on every xc/dh trail, but seems to be how it is in D-ville.

Allison. I know I will have at least two kegs at my campsite. You guys are more than welcome to camp with us. If you get there Thurs night, we will have some cold stuff waiting for you.

Usually I am!

I'm in the same dilemma! Though if the weather is decent and trails are open I'd like to hit up Tahoe

If it's just a free-for-all we'll all find a piece of flat ground for tents ,right? Our tent is small

I can recommend my new Kelty one - went up 10 times easier than the REI

Yup, full of sand and twigs and stinking of wood smoke! The Kelty is a similar design but far better made, larger and hey the flysheet actually fits too! Only cost an extra $45 or so

A little update for you all...

4 breweries have committed to sponsoring! 3 cheers for Tustin Brewery, Stone Brewery, SeaBright Brewery and SAC Brewery! I'm hoping to get all the breweries to donate at least one keg of IPA so we can do a taste off.

With the help of 1x1clyde we have about 15-20 bike industry sponsors and a coffee sponsor! Mmmmm coffee! Thanks man!!!!

We will be selling event acrylic pint glasses for about $5 each. K-max is setting that up. I have been lucky enough to see the design and I'm liking it a lot.

I haven't camped at Packer's Saddle yet, but I have visited the lake area. Be sure to bring a pad to sleep on. I'm getting really stoked about the event.

We are planning on a mini criterium and bike sumo during the early/afternoon evening times.

About rides...
My thoughts are to make a few paper maps of the local rides and do some organizing of beginner, sport and racer rides. That is assuming we even need to get that organized.

I attached a photo of some of the local talent. Rock hard bodies, really easy to get to know, yet kinda a "but'er face" look....
