Default SART Sunday, April 1st, 7am

No, its not a April fools joke...this ride is on like donkey kong!
Just want to get an idea if others are interested in hitting the trail.
I would like to set up a shuttle for those that want to hit the intro singletrack at the Post Office, skip the middle climbing and then meet us at Southfork for the fun ride back.
In fact if time permits that group could almost do 2 laps on that section before we got to the campground.. ....actually maybe I want to do that!!
We could also leave a truck or 2 at the bottom of the final fire road climb out to ease the pain of the day
Dean, I am hoping you have some ideas on the logistics, timing etc., I will have 2 pick ups to use for shuttling.

Last group we had was killer and a great time! Steven bring your flask, as will I!

I'm hoping to get a big ol' group ride out there so the pace will be non-mutant speed......Jeff & Justin will be towing cement blocks !
Utilizing a shuttle sytem should help out.
This is one of my favorite trails and I want to break in my new SS properly! It's slated for delivery next week!

We leave a truck at Glass Road and another near Jenks Lake.

It is not manly the SART we shuttle it is some unnamed trails and double track we take to get to Lost Canyon Trail down to Southfork Campground, then on the SART to Glass Road. If we feel like more, then we shuttle the Post Office Loop.

It is not a true shuttle, as there is a bunch of fireroad climbing (Poop Out Hill) by Jenks Lake to get to the singletrack.

1st pic is of part of Poop Out Hill. 2nd is Lynn where Lost Creek Trail comes out at South Fork.

That was a fun ride when I did it last year. Not sure if this is a good weekend for me though.

Neil why must you rub robs hatred for me in my face? I will be there this time I wont be sitting in your truck watching huge magical pigs. I like the idea of doing that first loop twice as long as we little guys can shuttle that god forsaken fire road of death. Then suttle to south fork.

Hey Phat Tire,
last time we did this we had a late start- Jose- so did not really get going until almost 9am. Got to Southfork around noon but lost a rider - Dean found him- and waited there for almost a hour. The way back was pretty quick but still did not get to the cars until after 3pm. I have to believe with some shuttling available/ early start we could be back to the cars a bit quicker than previous.
Either way it should be a blast and hopefully the snow they are forecasting won't kill us

Are you guys planning on doing the climb from the store up the fireroad? I heard that there is some killer singletrack from the top.

Any other riders interested in carpooling? I live in Irvine. Let me know.
