Flexible (3/17 or 3/1

- either day I'd like to start off by 10am.
I'm new to this group - would like to find some folks to ride up in the Gabriels -Any takers...?

It's decided - Saturday - Chilao Three Peaks Loop/Trail. Still discussing departure time - I'm advocating 10am but am flexible by an hour either way.
Should have joined sooner I might have jumped on that Arizona ride this weekend - I've always wanted to ride out there just needed a bit more notice this time.

Im going up the silver mocassin from shortcut to charlton and chilao on Sat morn around 9. Anyone is welcome to joinus in the parking lot at shortcut. Let me know...

Dizle

Chilao is one of my favorite rides.

Full loop is about 20 miles and about a 2000 ft total climb. Single track - waterbars - rock gardens - fire roads and amazing vistas (especially from Vetter).

Not sure exactly where you are but the 210 to the 2 toward La Canada/Flintridge should get you there (alternately get the address to the Sport's Chalet in La Canada and map quest it - that will def get you there).

The trailhead starts at Charlton Flats Picnic Area about ten miles beyond the first Forest Station (intersection of Highway 2 and the Angeles Crest Highway) stay on the 2 until you arrive at the parking area for Charlton Flats.

So far have two definites - two maybes - and you.

[FONT=Arial]I’ll be out there Saturday. Doing a “Birthday Challenge” ride. Hoping to rack up maybe 50 miles? So starting early/ will tool around the Pacifico region. Then Hillyer, Silver Moc, Chilao, Vetter, Mooney, back to Hillyer, Silver Moc and repeat until the odometer reads “50”.[/FONT]

did my 50 mile Birthday Challenge ride, but did not get on the Silver Moc till later PM. am whupped/ not used to 9 hours+ in the saddle..
