Greetings!
Well, last Friday I gave back some to the trail I most love. It was 4 hours of tough brush clearance on the section of trail the begins to decend after the Switzers campground in the Angeles Forrest.
I could not believe how thick the brush was! After I quit in the afternoon I paced off ony 105 steps of trail cleared! For a little reward I pedaled back up and rode the part that I cleared and it amounted to about 7 seconds worth! Still though, it was worth it.
I'll have another Firday off come the 23rd and will try to get back up there to do more, if anyone here would like to join me let me know.

It's been clear for a long time, there is even ridable trail through the lower river bed. It's just the brush has gotten out of hand on lots of it that some of the really fun parts aren't so anymore, and there is some bad erosion happening due to trail space.

I heard that the campsites will be closed this summer because it's looking like a bad season for fires.
