Default Santa Ana River Trail 2-18-07

Thought this better go up sooner than later!

It seems folks are interested in hitting this one Sunday, 2-18-07, meeting at 8am at the turnout just past the Oaks restaurant on your left.
Moderate pace with plenty of regrouping if needed. I have a freind who rode there Thursday and said there is a bit of snow but all in all it was pretty good for being February
Bring lots of aqua and a snack for when we reach Southfork. Not sure what the temps will be but dress for success, that means armwarmers Jose
Drop a note if you can make it, I have 2 with me already so it should be fun

Southern storm today so the moisture should not turn to snow, but on that side of the mountain it usually does. Should make for some interesting riding.

Highway 38 at Middle Control Road, Angelus Oaks...back way up to Big Bear. Get over to Mentone (off Highway 10) and head up the hill. Takes me 1hr 45 minutes from Laguna.

Attached Google Earth File.

That's the one.
Jose, Justin, Jeff and myself did this route a while ago and it was a blast, minus the flats , can't wait.
Hope you can make it.

Yes, Yes you do!
I could tow the B.O.B. but the cerveza's would be too shook up by the time we get to South Fork , no room for you, sorry!

Hey TK,
There are at least 4 full squish and gears guys coming, I was thinking of rocking the Cross rig there, have not seen a cross rig in there yet ....luv that wesssiiide
pix, that is the real deal, those kids almost look intimidating!

On a side note, if anyone is interested for grub & libation afterwards my wife has volunteered to "man" the grill at our place in Big Bear. It is about a 30 minute drive from Angelus Oaks to our cabin. As it gets closer, let me know so we can get a head count for burgers and stuff!
