I'm I reading this right, "first time on a mountain bike". Or has Steve Jackson changed his screen name.

not sure if you want to do this as a first mountain bike ride. It is not a hard ride in terms of technical riding, but the length of the ride can be tough if you're not in decent shape. The good thing is that there are bail out options if it comes down to it.

PF = Big Wheel, Rigid Frame, Fixed Single Speed. I think Jose will approve. Nice move Keith, very hardcore.

Hey Jose, what's the climb like for this one? Harder than the Frontside one we do on Cheney Trail?

We will park and meet at the turnout just past Angelus Oaks and then ride up the road a little ways to the post office then up to the actual trailhead and off we go
We can talk about it when we get there but you can either take the single track back up to the post office- ask Jose about that one - or the fire road back up to the turn out.....I know 1 or 2 folks that would like a truck down at the bottom of the fire road- Southern Dandy!- if someone wants to, that could work.....
