I'm guessing you guys were either feeling the flow and didn't need your water/food OR you didn't see my truck at Maple Springs. Hopefully the former. Sorry if it was the latter...I owe you guys a round after a ride sometime. The lot was full so I parked inside the gate a few cars up on the right.

I returned the water and left a note on your car. Didn't think it was a good idea to leave the rain jacket and I still have that.

Sorry I couldn't chat with Jose & Co at the intersection of Blackstar & S canyon Rd...I was talking with the team owner after he finished his ride.

Nice to meet some new folks from STR. Oh, BTW the VQ crash wasn't my worst crash last year. I broke my hand in South Africa in April.

Nice talking with you Mario. That was Winger and I who were talking with you about the VQ crash. I don't think we gave you our STR handle names. See you on the trails.

We couldnt find your truck Mario but thanks all the same. I would write a RR and post the photos but I'm truly dead beat. I'm doing nothing for the rest of the day but hitting my bed. Brain shutting down..........

The beer is on me after a ride.

Nice job with the SS Sauce! You're riding style reminds me of my racing bud's (Louise) riding.

I heard the "hey."
Thanks. That was my first ride longer than five hours since November. It felt really good. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera.

Hey Mario! No worries, Jose and I understand you were talking biz when we saw you. That's my rain jacket by the way, can you throw the bagel away and hold on to the jacket? I'll get it from you sooner or later.

Btw, dang you were fast on the Main divide to motorway. Good luck this year on the VQ.

Carl

btw, props Sarah, Justin and Keith for finishing the course and to Jose for pushing that big big gear all day. I got my azz kicked today but I'm still happy that I got to 4 corners from Maple Springs.

man, louise kobin looks intense. wow. i'd like to see her tear up a hill.

my riding style is - stay in saddle. single-speed. keep hr below 180. try not to die. not so interesting. :-)

longer than 5 hours? so, like, 75 miles? 100? :-)

ps - TOTAL RIDE TIME: 6:10. Total break time: 1:20 (including flat). Great job guys! Love riding w/ ya'all.

Nope, only 65.5. I was taking it easy after the peak to enjoy the singletrack since I don't ride HJ too much. Don't usually ride more than 75 miles/day on the mtb when training. I get out the road bike for the 75+ mile rides. Lou on the other hand, does 8+ hour rides on her SS or geared mtb...definitely hardcore.

"Mr." Pho, indeed. I can see that Keith is quite the well mannered Brit.

I was going to change my screen name but you guys can go ahead and keep calling me Mr. Pho (pronounded Fuh) aka Mr. Vietnamese Noodle soup.
