Palm Canyon Epic

What: Mtb'ing in the desert approx. 30 miles

When: Saturday the 3rd, 2007 @ 8:00-8:30

Where: Meet at IMAX in Cathedral City to shuttle Palm Canyon Epic

Why: Because mountain biking is cool.

This is not a beginner type ride. To avoid flats, please have Stans/Tuffy's. I learned the hard way... Bring everything you have biking related for a long hard, remote, and strenuous ride.

Ride was awesome. I think this place gets better everytime. Cindy Whitehead at the end rocks! No flats or mechanicals for the whole ride. Stans works! Thanks for everyone that came. I had a blast.

Ya, we smoked it this time with time to spare.
Down from pinion flats to indian protrero to the wash, from there we took the s/t that goes around hans to eliminate the wash and add a few miles, up dunn to hans up and down hans out cindys. Under 6 hrs total, good pace no flats no mechanicals,we won't mention Marks bent chanring tooth, oops, only took a minute and he needed a rest any way and no crashes. Temp approached 80, glad I took 160 ounces, Mark ran out so Mike gave him a ration and I ran out just as we finished the ride. Craig you rode great, you have been training, good job. 30 miles and all smiles.
