Fontucky DH practice this weekend anyone?

i've been thinking about going back this weekend and riding the different trails out there and practicing different lines through the trails. anyone else interested in joining? I'll probly be there with some friends, but the more the merrier.

I've never been there, nor have I raced DH, but I am interested in starting.

Meet in OC or there? And where is there? Is it a shuttle deal, or are we climbing?

sunday can work, no real need to shuttle since you can climb it no prob. If you have a full on DH rig, then its a short walk

let me talk to my guys and see what day/time they had in mind. most of us will be coming from OC so you can meet up with us if you wanted to. I don't know how many cars/trucks we'll be taking out

I will be there Sat. at 7 am. I'll be doing about 5 or 6 DH runs, followed by a xc loop. If anyone is interested, meet us at the park at 7.

I'll be riding an Intense VPX with front gears.
I'm also in OC, near the 5/91 freeway interchange. I have a truck with plenty of capacity, but we'd need to remove the front wheels.

Yes, but it's been at least a year. Actually, I haven't really done much of any mountain biking in the last year. As I mentioned in my intro, I had a bad motorcycle crash last January, and I had my wrist in a cast for 5 months. Even after that, I couldn't ride much. In August, my company sent me to Japan for three months. Well, now that I'm caught up with life a bit, and have a few Fully Loop rides under my belt, I'm in good enough shape to ride.

And don't worry, other than being a little timid, knowing that falling is not an option for my wrist (it still kind of hurts at times), I am fairly technically capable of riding most stuff.

My buddies and I used to do what we called a Triple Threat. We'd shuttle three runs in one day:
- Hilyer to Silver Moccasin
- Stuartevant to Chantry Flats
- Red Box to JPL

Made for a long day, but really fun!

Speaking of, for the longest time, I've been trying to get those guys to do a Triple Threat at night. Unfortunately, that group of buddies all either got married or had kids and don't ride much anymore. Anyone interested? I haven't ridden there in a while, so I'd need to run it during the day first. Hmm...full moon or no moon? It's probably too early in the season, but something to think about!

I'd go , but I guess we're ( normal ridin buddies ) gonna checkin out some place in Claremont (sp?) saturday , then gonna try hit up PV sunday . Gotta get back into some sorta shape ( other than round ) .
