Default Strawberry Loop 1/6

So, I'm looking at a training ride this Saturday on the Strawberry Loop in the Angeles Forrest. I'll be parking in the Switzer's campground as to avoid that climb at the end of the ride and just savor the decent from the last part of Strawberry onto Red Box. Time to ride: 8am, no later than 9am All are

I don't have a bunch of time to go south Mr. Monkey, so I've got to play in my backyard. And I'm recovering from that bug that went around for the holidays, you the one? It made one evacuate all fluids pronto!

Dean has to stay close to home that day. Will be riding/trail work on Mt. Zion Sunday. Join us if you have time.

Not sure where that zip code is, around the LAX area? Well, however you can get to the 134 and 2 fwys and take the 2 north to the 210. Take the 210 east to Pasadena and stay in the right lane once on the 210 as it will take you off at the Angeles Forrest exit. Do you have an Adventure Pass? If you don't, you can buy one at the Shell station right across from the exit there. A day pass is $5 and a yearly pass is $30 I believe, mine expires this month but I'm thinking of not renewing it because I've heard that they still don't collect on them. Anyway, head up towards the mountains. From the 210 you'll stay on the 2 hwy all the way to the Switzer's Campground, about a 20 minute drive. It'll be on the right once you pass the Angeles Forrest hwy., I'll attach a little map. The campground is about a 1/4 mile past the Forrest hwy, take the little road down to the parking lot and look for my red truck. I'll get there at 8am.

Abort, abort, abort!!! Well, me anyway. I've had a change of plans and won't be making this ride. \

Man, I kept trying to edit that previous mail and it kept killing my browser! Anyway, to make it more prominent... I'm out of this ride!!

I would be glad to take over for Robert as guide on this one if there is still interest. Or we could head farther up to Chilao and maybe get some snow riding in.

Looks like my ride has changed to Chilao. It won't be fast paced but we'll put some miles in. Anybodys welcome. Meet on the east side of Hwy 2 just north of the 210 @ 8:30 and possibly carpool up from there.
