New years day knobby ride

It seems like no one likes to ride uphill anymore-I do. Let's do the out and back-ring in the New Year with 20+ miles of sweet singletrack!

I usually do a Jan 1st ride at Sycamore Canyon (Pt. Mugu State Park). Singletrack with only easy technical areas. I like to add on miles but Saturday may leave me sore.
If I'm there I guarantee a trail you've never seen.

hmmm now that sounds good too... would your route include a climb up guadalasca and a descent down wood cyn/backbone?

I'm riding Saturday too, I get a day to recover so I should be all right. I dont mind waiting, my usual riding buddy wakes me up when he gets to the top.

Much better idea and ride than San Juan. Wood Canyon makes me grin ear to ear...when I go out there I ride loops so I can go down it twice.

i was thinking of doing turnbull canyon in the late morning. 9-10 am @ the beverly blvd. trailhead.

plan on doing a good 4-5 hour ride
