Tunnel shuttle

What: Tunnel shuttle and jesusita trl. A shiat load of rocks very technical. Bring your camera, there are some tricky sections on this trail you won't want to forget.
Will post carpools and times later in the week.

I've never done jesusita. I'd like to though. But if you are doing that one maybe a trip down cold springs instead of Tunnel? Now I love tunnel and the constant chunk but others seem to like the flow of cold springs.

Let me check and see if I can get the wife to tend to the shop that day. If so I'm in.

Is jesusita doable on a full tilt DH bike or is there to much climbing?

Jessusita has a big climb hike a bike in it, I wouldn't do the dh thing, a long travel trail bike is fine. 5-6 inches. The rest of the ride is intermediate.

I'm in. I have always wanted to ride there. which bike should I bring? trail bike 5-6 or the fun 8 inch bike. is full armer needed?

Armor is ok, very technical, lotsa rocks I am bringing 6 inches. There is some climbing involved .

so Tom, what's the carpool looking like? I'm on the fence about going but won't be able to drive. Sooooo, if I can catch a ride I'll prolly be in.

I would bringing my downhill bike. Could not fathom riding tunnel and leaving it behind. I'll either push the hill (would prolly push it no matter what bike I bring) or just skip that section and roll on down to the mission.

I am in alta loma off the 210 and archibald If any one wants to carpool with me we can meet at the staters parking lot at 6a.m. I have 2 racks open on my excursion.

I will bring the big bike. I might need to catch a ride with CalEpic and you if I can. I'll PM him. that is if my friend cant get his new bike up and going I'll find out tomorrow. or I might drive it by myself.

Just a quick note for those who have not ridden here before. You need some kind of bell to keep the hikers happy. REI has bear bells that work good. I just use a few jingle bells myself.

We will be meeting at the Santa Barbara Mission at about 8:30 a.m. We will shuttle from there. If you can make it the carpool meet is at staterbros center at the corner of archibald and 19th in alta loma just south of the 210 at archibald on the east side. Meet at the north west corner of the lot at 6 a.m. My number is 909-921-7924.

I will be leaving HB at 6. with two other guys driving in a black Tacoma. I just need to find a couple bells. One of the guys has been up there so if anyone sees some lost looking guys honk at us thanks.
