Thumbs up SSers STT/OLD CAMP/LUGE/WHITTING ride on 12/23

How about it? liked it soo much last night that would like to go back on Saturday and do a nice easy pace ride just for fun!! We've been riding hard for a while now so lets relax and hit this joint!! This ride is very SSer friendly so Shannon maybe u and Bruce can come and join the fun!! sorry Dean I know u wanted to go too but if it rains again it may turn into shit real quick!! Jeff and Justin r u monkeys IN? even Sarah can join if she wants!! it would be a great chance to practice on that new bike ehh!!

What time sounds good for everyone? for now I say 8 AM @ Cooks. If people dont feel like doing Whitting after the Luge they can always call it @ cooks.

btw gears R welcome just want to get all the SSers that havent done this ride out there

you should plan on riding around the parking lot a few times to get used to your cnew pedals

No problem, glad you enjoyed the ride. Lots of riders out there on Saturday AM's...used to be a Team Basso regular Sat AM ride.

thats good

thats why i shy away from clipins cause i dont want to get raped by my own bike. maybe next time you should try riding the bike away from everyone else.. i do beleive i was that closest to the crash site

I might be able to make it. I'll bring the SS - but I don't know if I would call that one steep climb SS friendly.

I'm going to see if the warden will give me a yard pass. Might be tough so close to the holiday. Is this a rigid SS ride or would you recommend the front boinger SS?

Vince, wish I could make this one...I am out of town. Rigid will be fine...you may have to slow it down a tad on the down hill and there is alot of downhill. All up then all down.

I have a Black Surly Karate Monkey Fork...it is a 29er. Disk tabs and brake bosses. $50

Is your bike 26 or 29?

Dean

Sorry you're going to miss this one. Kinda funny how it's been that way everytime. It's comical that we passed each other on McGill and never saw each other.

Looks like I'm in. I printed out the Google map. It's about 95 miles from my house...yeesh! I'll be at the intersection of El Toro Road and Santiago Canyon Road at 8am.
