Sat 12/16 Long ride?

So whats the plan? are we doing anything big this weekend? I'm open to ideas come on people!! cant take any breaks now!!




Meet @ 7AM on the [FONT=Verdana][SIZE=2]intersection of Silverado & Blackstar Canyon rds [/SIZE][/FONT]parking on Blackstar near the intersection. Same sPot from last ride. In case new people would like to join just make a note that we're doing a big ride wich means allot of miles.

How about Black Star to Silverado Motorway then up and down Maple Springs? Feeling Macho, on up to Santiago Peak. No shuttle required.

I'd like to train on the actual course as much as possible.

What time are you going to start? I might be up for this if the start time isn't too late. Close to 7:00 would be good for me.

Shinken called the ride so he can decide the start time. (8:00 am works best for me but I'm flexible)

Rain may make it a moot point if it's pouring.

I recommend meeting/starting at the intersection of Silverado & Blackstar Canyon rds.

For those of you riding this weekend.....if it does rain, alot.......still do this ride. If you are doing VQ or CC you need to see how nasty Blackstar is to ride when it is muddy.....because that is how it usully is on raceday.

I have done that and found it nearly unridable and absolutly no fun. That mud cakes up on tires and they refused to turn. If I went out there in the mud I would not take a bike I cared for. I do not run Boone cogs and expensive drivelines and hubs to listen to them being destroyed buy the mud and water. If I rode mud often I would own a mud bike that I could hose off and not care about.

It was when I first started riding and I did not now any better. Later, I fealt bad riding out there I could see my bike tracks (ruts) in the road the rest of the summer. Right after you leave the houses and start the climb some of my ruts turned into ditchs...it was one of El Nino years.

Ok I say we PARK here!! (same spot from last ride)
and for meet time I say 7AM!! b-cuzz u know we will start later!! that way we can start early and finish before it starts raining or try to @ least.
