Another Tom the Bomb Epic, Strawberry peak w red box or palm springs

Sunday 12/10 For those that don't want to shuttle red box we can do the strawberry peak loop with red box, this is a great ride with all the trimmins. About 16 miles.
If the rains hit we can go to Palm springs and do the dunn road, hans buena vista, cindy whitehead loop. Great desert riding.
There is no rain in the forecast for the desert. Iwas out there 2 weeks ago and did Art Smith, beautiful, the temps are perfect.
Both of these rides are advanced rides with stout climbing and technical decending.

U know there's a ride going on Sunday for rEd Box right? but the longer loop sounds great!! i would join but I have a long ride on Sat. As it is I'm pushing this Sunday thing.

Tom, I have never done the Gabrileno section below Switzers so it is shuttle monkey day for me. Good to see you posting rides again.

TOM!! Move the palm springs ride back a weekend and I am in definately! I have 2 finals monday so a sunday ride is out for me. I am actually looking forward to doing that palm springs pinyon flats ride again.

Don't really want to shuttle, to short of a ride. I don't think the section from switzers to jpl is in very good condition.
This ride starts at switzers climbs to strawberry and traverses around strawberry with all great singletrack, dumps out at redbox to gabrieleno and finishes at switzers. We get to do all the fun stuff without the shuttle.
I hope it doesn't rain!! I will post meeting time Sat afternoon.

Hey tom, just saw your post, Been sick for the last three days but feeling better today, will try to make whatever ride you guys decide, But if theres rain, or still feeling under the weather I will most likely be a no show. Also seems like forerver since I've seen Armomdo, looking forward to riding with him again. If not this weekend for sure the next. We'll all try to hook up again for a ride soon. see ya!!

Ok fellow mtbrs we are meeting at the switzers parking lot at 9a.m. Hywy 2 north to the Switzers camp ground, park down in the campground parking lot at the very end.

For car pooling meet me at the alta loma, Stater bros. parking lot at 8a.m. corner of Archibald and 19th. We will load up there. If you are coming off the frwy get off at Archibald and go south. The lot is on the east side 100 yds from the frwy.

not raining at my house...rained during the night, but not as of now so i am guessing ride is still on? I check weather for pasadena and check the hour by hour forecast and no rain was expected at 9am...well 20% chance only, 8am and 7am were only 20% chance of rain

So is anyone else still going?

im in the San Gabriel area and as of right now 6:30 am, the sky is clear. no rain. im heading out early to do the strawberry loop and to JPL with STjunkie.
