Default Noble Canyon Saturday 25th

Some friends and I are doing a couple of shuttle runs down Noble Canyon on Saturday the 25th if anyone is interested. We are meeting at the lower trailhead at 0900.

If you've never been, I will be happy to show you around.

I'm definitely in. One question though. Why do you shuttle? Do you cut out some climbs by doing this?.... ok, two.

We shuttle it so we can do more than 1 run. I have never climbed it (I will someday, but it won't be this weekend) but I understand the climb takes close to an hour and it's mostly paved. A run down the hill takes about 90 minutes, so the climb up would chew up too much time for me. Plus, there is over 500 verticle feet of climbing over the 9 miles down. I know that's not much, but on a 42 pound bike, I don't care to add hundreds more by climbing up. I know Noble can be ridden on bikes with less suspension than my Haro, but I have more fun when I shuttle it.

I figure I go there to have fun and I don't need to drive an hour just to climb. I climb plenty during the rest of the week.

Plus, I'm old and fat, so there's that too

You have to shuttle yourself. I will have space for 2 more on my SUV. My buddy has a truck.

Dang dude, if you're old.....I don't even want to think about how old I am.

I highly recommend this ride with Sir Packy. He was a big help to me going down this very fun trail. But when I do, do it again, I'll be climbing it.

I'm in for this ride! I'll take one of the two spots in your SUV, if you don't mind.

Sure thing. We'll be meeting at 0900 at the lower trailhead. Do you need directions?

Here is a pic of my car so you can spot us. Red Ford Freestyle

I'll have to see how our Friday ride goes. If it's a bust I'll be heading down to do this one. Never been and it looks like a great ride.

Depending on where your coming from, you need to get to Interstate 8 and head East. Take to Pine Valley Rd exit, turn left. Take to Old Hwy 80 and turn left. Go about 1 mile or so to Pine Creek Rd and turn right. Follow to a driveway with a sign that says TRAILHEAD PARKING on the right---it's easy to miss this sign. Turn in and park anywhere there is an open spot. You will need an Adventure Pass for parking. They sell day passes at REI for $5, or you can let the rangers ticket you for the $5 fine and just mail it in. If you need my cell, let me know and I'll PM it to you.

Thanks, I personally think that the e30 M3's are hideous. I looked for this car for 4 months cause I only wanted a Blk/blk 5 spd 325is. And I love this car!!! I also bought it as a project car and I now drive it way more than my Audi.

The Other ride: B5 Audi S4

But, so not to jack this thread, I started an other: What transports your Bike?
