A few of us are headed up slowly to be up at the top near 9pm to get a glimpse of whatever fireworks might be in view.

I spoke with Elvia last night and she will be leaving for an earlier ride up to Beeks as well - possibly leaving the parking lot around 5 or 6pm. PM her if you want to know more (ezzyride).

6pm, i think i'll change the RSVP to then as well unless anyone has a problem with the earlier start. 6pm roll out should get a bigger group and we can take our time getting up.

I'm in! Just found my old Cygolite Night Rover that I used to use for commuting, and have my Stella 180 that I currently use.

Since coffee is my beer, maybe I'll bring a thermos full of Kenya AA.

i might be able to talk bloodhead into this... did this same ride on the 4th 3 yrs ago & could see TONS of fireworks!!

but which bike to bring...? don't know if i'd survive on the ss as i haven't been riding it much.

AND PLEASE (forgive shouting, but really want all to hear/read) PACK OUT YOUR TRASH!!!

the last 4th i went up there, a tool (picked him up from here...) we were riding w/wanted to smash his beer bottle so he didn't have to carry it back down. oh, & he lit up a cig... pack it in, pack it out! keep our trails/forest looking clean. we get enough tools up there in 4x's & motos leaving their crap up there. we (mtb'ers) don't need to contribute to the mess!

I just hooked up my Stella 120 to my helmet, and am going to have my old Cygolite on the bars, and the "little" battery duck-taped to my frame.
Anyone in for a little single track action on the way down?
Dim lights, and overgrown trails.
Could get scary!

We're meeting at the gate, not the tree lot, right?
