Default Mt Wilson Rim Trail 10/17

I wasn't going to post this but I thought I'd share and see if anyone here was interested. This ride is for any shuttle monkeys looking for 4500 ft of pure DH love. Meeting place is 10 am sharp at the JPL lot.

Working or I would go.

Frank when was the last time you rode Mt. Wilson Trail? I am wondering what shape it is in. Take a camera, I want a detailed RR. None of this I didn't want to stop stuff.

Be carefull out there.

Dean

Damn dood, that's my favorite front range trail. I'm taking Friday off to go to the Plunge so taking another day off might be pushing it. How about we schedule this one again in the near future? But to tell you the truth, I'd rather climb up. Maybe we could schedule the shuttle run to meet up with the climbers and then we could race down?

Climbing? Did you mention climbing? That sounds fun!

Have fun up in Kernville. Tell JFish we said hi. I'm looking forward to going back next year.

Actually this is my 1st time on this trail. One of the guys in our group has done it before and another one is bringing a GPS to map it. I'll be bringing my camera to take some pics, unless we are having too much fun on the DH.

You have been volunteered to play tour guide for your OC brothers at a date to be named later.

You will be paid handsomely in strong ale.

Have fun

Are you doing the Rim Trail (down the back side to Newcomb Saddle, Chantry Flats) or the Mt Wilson Trail (to Sierra Madre)?

They mentioned doing the Rim trail but most likely we are doing the Mt Wilson trail since we are leaving a few cars at Sierra Madre.

I did that on my DH bike once. Never again as it still has some up hill and the DH isn't really that hard of DH. A free ride bike would be a much better choice then a full blown DH rig.

I wish it was not on a school day as I'd love to do it too.
