Default Jenson Parking Lot Sale Ride

Bring your bikes with you to the parking lot sale for a ride afterwards. Lots of options available in the area. Open to any ideas.

It might be for you. I don't stop to take pics.

I had Webb Canyon in mind. Those going to the sale and want to ride afterwards pm me. This is a steep DH trail with a play area at the bottom. I recommend a 6 inch travel bike or bigger.

Did anyone score anything cool?

Nice, a little stronger a little faster, your my hero.

Sweet, you will be 2:1 soon. I am thinking that on a 29 inch bike 32 x 18 is close to 2:1.

I got a Park floor pump for $20
Cycle Ops trainer for $29 (missing a bolt)
Crank Bros Smarty's for $10
Grabbed a RS Pike Team for $100 (for a friend)
Oh, '05 Camelback Mule $15 (busted strap on the clip so I'll need a seamstress)
and a bunch of clothing stuff.

I thought it was pretty crazy, the place was cleaned out in 5 mins. All the good stuff was gone.

The bike toss was fun to watch. The contestants were hucking a complete Huffy dual suspension bike.

I got x7 shifters and xtr/mavic front wheel (v-brake) for 20 bucks each. Wanted an x9 rear and x9 shifter but I was 20 seconds too late. Should have ran in instead of walked! Went inside the store and picked up some other stuff I needed too.

Only got tires since I was there so late (11:30) but know I coulda nailed some good stuff if I was there earlier with my killer shopping skills LOOK OUT...made up for it at the Incycle sale. Saw Brandon's shaved head later ... not a bad trade off for a bike. Good seeing all the STR riders there...

Hey Dean, I picked up a WTB wheelset for my SS. Paid $19 for the front (including a 6" rotor) and $27 for the rear. I also went inside and picked up some Nevegals, jersey, and a couple of free jenson shirts. I ran into Craig and he said you drove up by yourself. Finally got to meet George and ran into Justin and Jared. I hung out with Romeo and Khai hopng they would bring out some more stuff but none was had. Chris got there LATE then we all headed out to Incycle and checked out their sale.

I was a little disappointed in the sale. I came there looking to score some deals on high end components. The offerings were pretty slim for me. There were some screaming deals on Jamis FS frames with cranks for $50, OE take off parts, low end forks, etc. but that's not what I was looking for. I did get a good deal on 2.35 DTC Nevegal for $30, picked up a Maxxis Highroller at a mediocre price and an XTR chain at a pretty good deal. It was pretty cool seeing George, Frank and Andy there but otherwise a waste of time for me. I got there before 9 and was out by 10 maybe I missed some deals later in the day.

We got there at 10 and the place was picked. Really bummed to hear about the RS pike because I've been looking high and low for a decent upgrade/replacement for my DJ2 on the cheap. If you're friend doesn't want it, shoot me a PM and I'd be stoked to drive to wherever to grab it. By the time we got there all that was left was a Stance DC, tons of MZ comps and a some Manipoo splices. On the up side, I picked up a new set of tires, shaved 3lbs off my ride, and made a noticable dent in the rolling resistance.

My bro had the longest toss right up to the second to last guy that signed up right before the last couple guys were going. Definitely picked up some technique ideas and I'll be back for next year It was funny how quickly that poor bike got beat to death. I think that if the guy that looked like Mikey from American Chopper would have made one more revolution before the release with his hammer throw technique, he would have crushed everyone.

The band was cool, I bumped into some people I knew from other circles that I didn't expect to see there, and since we had to be out in the area for another engagement, it worked out perfectly.
