Talking Sunset Fireroad Sun 9/10 8:00a

Because of overwhelming demand...Ok mostly because Shannon was reeeeealy wanting to go...We are going to do the Sunset Fireroad Shuttle ride again.

We will meet at Oak Mesa Park, located North of Baseline on Wheeler in La Verne. We can meet at 8:00a and shuttle up to Baldy drop off area. I think I will already have a truck load, but others are welcome to join and follow us up.

Weather looks great, it should be partly cloudy and should keep the temps down.

Dean's RR report describes this ride perfectly...gradual climes with some really fun down hil. There is nothing technical on this trial, fire roads all the way.

Missy Chrissy/Dean anyway for you to make it again? Frank/Jose/Glen/Jon/Etc....up for a causal ride? All are welcome. (Jose you are in charge of hydration after the ride) (hehehe)!

Fun group with Shannon, Bruce, Nam and CC Cathy today. Love this trail but corners are a bit loose and slippery. Nice ride ...well...uh...other than a pinch flat, hit-n-miss(more miss) derailer adjust, and Cathy ending up in the emergency room with a gash on her arm several layers deep. She's out for 4 weeks ....I think that jinx I gave Nam bounced around the group ...J/K. Maybe check carnage section later??? I'm so bummed my riding buddy is off for so long but dang she's tough. She kicked butt riding out with quite a ways to go. HEAL QUICK!!!

wasn't too bad of a ride today... i was actually leading on most of the climbs.. riding in the 909 is like traveling to a parallel universe in which everything is the opposite. anyhow nice meetin ya finally shannon and bruce! sharky, i was hoping to avoid you, but you showed up anyways

cathy, you rock woman! got hurt and not once complained about the pain, blood or any of that crap. sorry i couldn't ride out all the way with you, those damn flats are holding me back. rock on girlie, heal up soon

Ohhh...very funny Nam .....we ARE friends he's just razzin' cause I made him drive all the way back up the mountain to my car... thanks again. (sorry for the jinx.. )Glad you finally made it up this way.
We're thinking of making this a moonlit night ride if enough interest...
for those who haven't wandered into the rockin' riding realm of the 909 would make for an interesting introduction? (after Cathy heals) Great city views on this one.
