Remember that we only did 10 miles at Aliso and about 1500-2000 feet of climbing. Jose is asking for twice what we did at Aliso.

I thought since this was Sauce's thread she had last say on what went on?

My personal thoughts of adding on 1k more climbing over 10 miles to what we did at Aliso is fine with me, but I'm waiting for Sauce to chime in since this was her idea

Hey Sauce is shinkin killin' ya?

When riding local parks routes change as we ride. It is not like we are going to loose someone at El Moro and they won't be able to find thier way back out.

Bottom line it is Sauce's call, she called the ride it is her ride.

Besides, I think it is Frank he is rescuing.

Sauce you wanted a suggestion:

Starting Lower Parking Lot off Highway 1.

Out Moro Canyon up "I Think I Can" along "Moro Ridge" to "Missing Link" & "Fenceline". Down "Red Tail Ridge" and "Rattlesnake" down "Cut Across" then back up "Moro Canyon" up "Slow 'N Easy" up "Missing Link" dropping down "Moro Ridge" into Laguna Wilderness Park. "Bommer Ridge" down "Old Emerald" then up "BVD/Emerald Falls" down "Moro Ridge" down "BFI" to the start.

I think that hits every legal singletrack in El Moro using the easiest routes to climb. The only really tough climb will be BVD and a small section of Moro Canyon...many will be pushing there bikes up parts of them.

Note: Dear Canyon used to be a singletrack, Thanks again Orange County Fire.

If anyone is off on Thursday, I was planning on starting from LCWP to El Moro at 9am. If you like the single track, you'd love Old Emerald

And, FYI, El Moro is participating in this event on Saturday:
from the SHARE website (www.sharemtb.com)

"Trails4All... Inner-Coastal & Watershed Cleanup Day" Sept 16th
This one's important. Check it out at http://trails4all.org/cleanup/2006/index.asp for more info. Bring the family, come out and participate.

SHARE will be helping in the Trabuco Wash venue, from the beginning of the canyon down to the terminus at Live Oak Canyon Road. Rumor has it that members of The Warrior's Society will be helping at this location as well.

If I show you the easy way to get to it, then it is a hard way to get out. The route I discribed is a easy way to get to Rattlesnake. If you leave the group after Rattlesnake in would be a 8 mile loop with about 1000 ft climb.

If you park at Ridge Park Avenue, off of Newport Coast, it's terribly easy to get to Rattlesnake (and free to park)...without the climbs; of course, what you go down, you must go up

Hey Guys,
That's Shannon's backyard for riding. I'm sure we may be up for riding rattlesnake w/ all of you and improving our single track skills. I know I certainly need to. I'll keep you posted.

If we start from my house in North Laguna (PCH @ Ledroit) it will give us more options. That way we could end the ride going down Laguna Ridge (T&A) go into town the get a Taco at Taco Loco. They have outside seating so we can watch our bikes.

I went through some of my track logs and this is the closest route to want I have already proposed, minus the down down into Emerald Canyon.

Yep we got choices: 7:30 at my house or 8am at the Lower Parking Lot....same difference. Not everyone has a State Parking Permit and personally $10 is too much, it was $3 just a couple of years ago.

yup -- this is getting a little too complicated. I vote that we start from the top on Ridge road or whatever. I like the trails in that area ... we can go all the way down the mountain and come back up to get miles. I've been wanting to do that. And if people want to do more (like go into other parks ...), well then we can split up.

so, 8am?
