So whats El Moro like anyways? Is there a similar place you can compare it too in terms of trails, technical areas, etc?

I'm still expanding the list of places I've been riding and I'm afraid I dont know much about El Moro.

its a lot of fireroad riding/climbing with some pretty nice singletrack sections on missing link and fenceline. A more technical singletrack is rattlesnake that has about 2 rock gardens that can be too much for some. There are a bunch of other off shoot trails that aren't travelled much so i don't know anything about those.

I'd say it is a lot like Aliso.

My only constraint is time. I need to be back in the LBC by noon at the latest. So I have 3 hours to play

I don't know what is up for the weekend, I am trying real hard to get up to the Sierra's....Yomesite area. There is a section just outside of National Forest off Tioga Pass (Saddlebag Lake) that looks like it could offer some good high altitude riding. Maybe catch up with Scott and Mike coming down from Tahoe, if they plan on stopping in Mammoth. Bike Park closes September 24th.

I would be happy to guide, but George and the regular STR crowd knows what I know.

I can't do much more than 20. Did 20 at Chiva falls in Arizona yesterday. It wore me down. Of course, it was f-ing HOT ...

I really want to do the new single-track at the top [dumps out near Rattlesnake], but otherwise I'm up for anything (as long as it includes rattlesnake ...)

I agree that we need to do Rattlesnake.

Doing 20 at El Moro will mean some creative looping. You could certainly add Laguna Coast Wilderness into the mix. If you want to add some tech to your ride I'd suggest this:

Start at main lot ($10 to park ) Moro Canyon up I Think I Can to Moro Ridge down BVD up Old Emerald (hike a bike for most) to Bommer down T&A (Laguna Ridge) ride Laguna Canyon Road to The LCWP main lot. Up Willow to Bommer back in El Moro to Missing Link/Fence Line down Deer Canyon to Red Tail Ridge down Rattlesnake Up Mach 1 to No Name Ridge back to main lot. It won't be 20 but you'll get plenty of climbing in. There's plenty of alternate trails that could be mixed in depending on the group.

Have fun - I'll be in hicksville working.

Been wanting to ride this one too, but I don't have a rear shock for my RFX. Is this ride beginner SS friendly?

Very simular to Aliso ride I took you on Frank. To get the 20 miles Jose wants we will be climbing about 3,000 or more feet. If enough people show up we could split into two groups, that usually happens anyway.

Did you send it out to PUSH?

Man, 3k of climbing... really more than what I want to do, but I've been wanting to do this ride. We didn't even climb half that during the last Aliso ride did we?
