I posted a route suggestion earlier in post #6. Since Scott is coming and he always picks great routes let us figure that out when we get there. I am open to any sugestions.

If it's 8 I'm in. If it's 7 I'm out. I'm not trying to influence anyone's decision but I just don't feel like leaving my house at 5:00 am.

It shouldn't take more than an hour to get there from OC. Not trying to be an ass or anything by pushing an earlier start, BUT it's going to hella hot on Sat plus there's the UCLA traffic to deal with since there's a game at 4. The sooner we get outta there the better.

7AM MEET at the bottom of ACH

Hey you guys that live in LA, I spend alot of time trying to convince my OC brothers to come to your area to ride...what do I get...a bunch of presure to ride early.

If you guys came our direction, I would hope that us OCers would modify our rides and not require that you guys wake up at 4-5 am to get to the trailhead. I for one do not like to ride tried.

Craig has agreed to pick me up at 6:15, it takes me about 70 minutes to get there from Laguna....so we should make the 7:30am start time.

I checked the Mt. Wilson webcam e few times today and the hottest it got up there was 78 degrees, so a early start to be the heat is not a viable argument.

Tris has called me and will be there at 7:30.

Dam, I hate missing this ride. You guys will not regret getting up early for this one.

In regards to the heat. I have to call BS on this. It never really gets that hot up there and if it does we are long gone before then. If Dean likes it, you know it's not hot. Funny in the winter time up that way very few people are there, but as it warms up, you get tons more people.

Okay, 7:30 it is. And I'll have to call bs on the bs! It'll be clear and that sun will boil your bucket! Extra water for sure and maybe an extra tube. Good heads up earlier on the UCLA game, I did a work out ride by there a few hours ago and they have some huge tents going up!! See ya'll at the meet spot!!

Plain and simple, Clay started this thread and any one who starts a thread is the final word!
You want to change the ride or arrange another group, start your own thread.
See you at 7:30 a.m..

Respect the threader!!

Great ride guys, I do not think anyone got hurt. 15 showed up so I am not going to name names, just thank you all for a good ride.

Clay good call on where to ride. I only took one picture today and have not even checked if it came out OK. Will post it if it is decent.

Great ride today guys. I only took one pic too. Dell rolling a boulder. It's a pretty good fall if you go over on the left (right viewing pic) For 15 guys it was pretty uneventful other than a couple flats, and me snapping my derailleur hangar on a rock. Luckily I had a spare. Many thanks to our tour guides Apex Man, ST Junkie and D Stepper who kindly herded the stragglers.

The burrito and cervezas at Pepe's weren't bad either.

Great ride today. Big thanks to the OC brothers for coming out early! Weather was warmer than usual on the climbs, but the dh section was worth it.

Bummer I missed out on this ride. Chilao sounds like a neat place to ride.

I was on the other end of Hwy 2, camping with my wife and three kids. Now that the youngest is almost 3, it was time to get out as a family.
