Default Riding SJT to Los Pinos Sun Aug. 27th

Hey all, I'm riding San Juan trail up to Main Divide, then back down the notorious Los Pinos trail on Sunday, Aug 27th.
I want to start at 7:30 sharp to avoid as much heat as possible.
This is a pretty taxing, yet VERY rewarding ride that I encourage all to attempt at least once.
I'm looking foward to a big group so PM me if you are interested.
Ben

I'm interested. Hit me up later this week. It will just depend on how late my Saturday night goes.

This loop is awsome. Be ready for about a dozen hike a bikes. It sholdn't be too over grown. Theres a section in the middle though that didn't get brushed. Id go but im not gonna be here. Have fun!

22 or so miles. http://www.geoladders.com/show_route.php?route=326

If I were to do this ride again, I'd probably put the old toe clip pedals back on and where some light weight hiking shoes. Those hike a bikes are no fun in Sidi Dominators.

It's not so much the mileage as it is the difficulty level. I do recommend it at least once and truth be told, it's not a bad ride, just not what I enjoy.

Yeah, thats what I'm thinking. While I love SJT, I've never done Los Pinos and want to put it under my belt.

Here's a thread on Fooriders that'll give you an idea of the ride:

I didn't know they cheated. If you climb SJ it's a whole different ride. Not for beginners. I've rode with all those guys and you know if they consider it a hard ride,it is a hard ride.

Now I'm thinking of doing it again,Damn!

Ben,

Hey I forgot it was my friends b-day tonight, so there is no way I'm going to be able to ride tomorrow. Sorry
