[/URLGreat riding with every one, hit 5 Taco Nazo's (Senor Baja's) today, and the majority thought that the Fish tacos in San Dimas were the tastiest, but the Fish tacos in Rancho Cucamonga were served up the fastest! Thanks all for coming along for our fun ride. We our considering our next "Tour," possibly "Tour de In-N-Out". Glen and Mike win first place team for riding the longest...approximately 65miles. Great Job! And Yes Glen props to you and your 50lb bike. Chris and I rode about 42miles. The four of us met up at the Ranco Cucamonga Taco Nazo and rode to the Tour Start in Chino Hills. Once there, we met up with Khai, Romeo, Jon, Scott, Henry. Khai and Romeo rode from San Dimas to the Chnio Hills location, the other 3, Jon, Henry and Scott drove there. After everyone introduced themselves we got down to the business of the day and ordered up some fish tacos. MMMMMM...mmmmmm. Very good. We then were on our way to our next stop in San Dimas. We had some climing to do in order to get there, which was about 15miles. Luckily for Glen most of the climing would be done early. There were a few tough hills but nothing we couldn't all handle. On our way to the San Dimas location we called up another friend, Curt, to hook up with us for some tacos. Hahaha we were waiting for Curt to show up thinking he would just jump in his truck and come over....little did we know he was riding over..on his KHS 7-speed beach crusier mtb. Yaaaaaaaah, very cool. Curt decided to join us for the next few stops. Our next stops were in Pomona and Upland. Pomona was great because they serve beer there. Wow that beer tasted sooooo good. We then made our way to Upland. After tasting the tacos in Upland many of the riders decided to start making they're way back to where they started. Mike, Glen Chris, Khai, Romeo and I made it to our final destination in Rancho Cucamonga. Boy they serve it up fast there. We barely ordered and sat down and they were bringing it to our table. Romeo won the final stage,a 1/2 mile sprint. nice job! Romeo! Scott and Henry it was nice meeting you. To All Others, thanks for playing!

Yeah, I had a great time. To be honest, my bike is much more of a commuter. No knobbies, just semi-slicks. Yeah, it's heavy, though, compared to those snazzy road bikes you guys were riding. I definitely did not compete at all on the hills. But, I managed to average 14.5 mph for the day with a max speed of 36.5. Not bad for a 1994 steel Trek 830! (It doesn't weigh no 50lbs, though, more like 35 or so. But, still, it's heavy. Yeah.
Good ride, overall. I enjoyed the company and the route. This is the farthest I've ever ridden on a bike in one day by about 35 miles or so. I think us "Trail Riders" ought to mix in a road ride or two every now and then. Keeps us fit and it's fun, too.

I had an absolute blast out there. Dirty is always good for a laugh and I really liked watching John catch Khai and then pass him, only to come back down the hill and ride back up again with us mere mortals. But what I really enjoyed was the pace. Not competeive but consistant and on the work out side of things. I think Cathy tried to make a break away there towards the end but got stopped by a red light.
I was wondering how we did all this. By the cities for Glen & I. Fontana (Start) to Rancho Cucamonga a little bit into Ontario into Chino into Chino Hills (Start for the group ride) over to Diamond Bar to Phillips Ranch to Pomona to San Dimas to La Verne back into Pomona to Claremont to Montclair to Upland to Rancho Cucamonga and finally back into Fontana. One helluva a fun ride.I hope to do this again some day soon.

Thanks for letting a rookie roadie join up with you. Nice to meet and ride with some new people. If I would have known it was all downhill on the way back I wouldn't have passed on the beer. I would be up for the In-&-Out ride also if it happens. Props to Glenn for doing so many miles on his "big" bike. My first mountainbike was an old Trek 830 which I still ride at work at lunchtime. I have done some long road rides on it in the past but not as many as he did.
