I'm tempted to join you on this one (assuming you are still going). I havn't done any San Juan rides, so this should be a good introduction to the area.

There might be a change in plans. We may head up to Inspiration Point in the Pasadena area. I'll update this thread later today.

The ride at San Juan is on for tomorrow.

Directions to trailhead:

Head SOUTH on I-5.
Exit ORTEGA HIGHWAY (Highway 74)
Left on ORTEGA HIGHWAY and proceed NORTH for ~13 miles

Keep a watch out for a sign that says 'LAZY W RANCH'. There will be a paved road on your left.

Left on the paved road (Note: if you passed the Ranger Station, you've gone too far)

The paved road becomes a dirt road. Follow this road for 0.75 miles.

You will see a dirt parking lot on your left, the trailhead is opposite the parking lot.

Pasadena area? I thought Inspiration Point was near Blue Ridge on Hwy 2.
