Finding a semi flat/easy/beginner trail near Thousand Oaks. Don't care if it is fire roads, double wide, etc. My father in law wants my bro-in law and me to take him out and he is very new to mountain biking and out of shape. Can anyone suggest a trail or portion of a larger trail that I could take him to?

If you're willing to drive just a bit, Telegraph Canyon in Carbon Canyon is an excellent beginner trail. It's an out-and-back of about 6 miles to the Four Corners benches, with very gradual uphill almost all the way in and a nice coast on the way back. There's also another bench in a very nice shaded area just before the 5 mile mark that can also be a great place to turn around depending upon how your in-laws are doing.
This is probably the best beginner trail I know of...anywhere. |

I'd say CHESEBRO. Take the 101N and the exit itself is named Chesebro, then make a right. I don't remember anything else from there...so someone post directions! |
