You're idea of a long ride is from 7 to 8? Here I thought you were big time racer boy, and all you can muster is one hour of riding at night? Seriously though, I already told my wife I'd like to ride this Wednesday night, so I'll let you leave me in the back of the pack all the way to the top of whatever ride we decide to do. Maxxxlaw, are you in for this one? |

Has a decision been made on where the ride is going to take place?
STT to Old Camp isn't particularly that long of a ride, but I'll bet it would fit the battery limitations of most of the group. For instance, my L&M ARC Li-Ion only burns for 3.5 hours on the low setting. How long is the HJ to Santiago Peak or the Blackstar - Motorway ride? Wouldn't HJ require lights earlier on in the ride due to the trees? |

I'll be there again for this ride (wherever 'there' ends up being). We can adjust the start time as necessary so that we have enough battery power. I think Blackstar-Motorway is about a 3 hour ride, while STT-Old Camp would be less than two. Not sure about HJ to Santiago Peak.

If it's just going to be Andrew, royta and me then I say we do holy jim to the Peak and down. Royta I don't know how good of a rider you are but I do know Andrew is pretty quick. Once we finish lower holy jim its a fireroad all the way up, so even during dusk we could get away with not using our lights. Sunset is at 8:04 so if we leave at 6 sharp that gives us 2 hours to make it up to the peak, which with the people we have so far I think is doable. We could then take in the sight at the peak and roll back down the same way we came up, but with our lights.
I'm going to class right now but I'll check back, around 11 to see the response to my idea.

If anyone is going to ride STT tomorrow, there is a gnarly decapitated bobcat on the side of the road near Cook's.
Its rear leg is on the shoulder, and the rest of its body is closeby in the gutter. Eyes on the bobcat's face are wide open. It looked pretty damn fresh today - not sure what it'll look like after a warm day tomorrow. |

Old Camp - Luge on geoladders.com Schedule the ride Steve, so we can get the 5 extra points if there are four or more of us.
