Default Bootleg Invasion Dec 12-14
Winter is nearly here and it's time to schedule STR's annual invasion of Bootleg in Boulder City, NV (just outside Vegas Baby!!!). A bunch of us didn't get to attend last year due to the proximity of the Holidays, so this year it's two weeks prior. It's even a full moon weekend for those crazy enough to do a XC night ride in the wee hours.

Camping is available in the parking lot (for free!) and there's even bathrooms and showers!

nice work on checking the moon out! i did a ride last year with my buddy down girlscout on a full moon.... with no lights!

it was super fun!

Is this a DH or XC ride? I have heard Bootleg is gnarly DH. You mentioned a XC night ride?

XC and DH. I expect there will be enough folks that some will only DH, others will want a mix. It's intended to be a gathering, not a group ride.

Yes, we'll see if we can line up the doping driver of the stakebed truck. I'll also have my shuttle trailer (10-12 bikes) so we can start earlier and ride later.

Yeah, that shuttle setup they have is hell on bikes. Bikes get trashed more on the trailer than they do on the mountain - especially the frame's downtubes and fork stantions.

Hey that is Sagit, Nick and Joel from OCRiders, all friends I have not seen in sometime. I got my bighit from Sagit. He is a good rider. Nick is the guy with the camera and Sagit is the guy he follows for most of the vid with the yellow Mavic rims. Nick is an insanley good rider as well.
