Default GMR Critter sitings

So I rode GMR last night and in the river bed avoided a tarantula nearly crashing on sharp rocks and then a couple miles later had a baby mtn lion take off down the trail in front of me...didnt really kick in what it was until it was almost gone.

Also set a PR...not sure why.

Tarantulas are definitely out these days. Especially @ night. Sometimes they look like rocks till you get close, so I've swerved to avoid them before.

I'd like to see a mountain lion... kinda. And kinda not.

I saw an adult bobcat (right near SART) and that was really neat. But I'm not on a bobcat's menu.

Just don't stop to pet the kitty

Sounds like an adventurous night; I've only seen a bobcat and prefer to keep it that way (unless I'm faster than the last guy) J/K you're all safe with me....for now.....but, I'm trying to ride more.

I dont know the difference between a bobcat and a mountain lion. Coulda been a bob cat. I only saw the rear end as it ran down teh trail in front of me.

The only wild life I want to run into on the trail are hot cougars and im not talkin the 4 legged kind.

I rode marshall last thursday with a group and spent a lot of time(hour plus) at the water tower waiting for a couple of our group who got lost and we had no lights...

We saw what we are assuming is an immature mountain lion on Monroe Truck Trail about 4 weeks ago. We have also seen too many skunks, lots of tarantulas, fox, ringtail, deer, deer bowhunters this last Sunday morning (wear bright colors), bear, bobcat, some other larger rodent type thing, possums, gopher snakes, and rattlesnakes.
A great place to ride.
PM if you'd like to get together and ride sometime. We ride most Weds. nights about 7:00
