Sat 5/13 - Maple Springs to Motorway?

So I'm thinking of doing this ride on Saturday. Haven't hit Maple Springs in a long time. Anyone up for it? 8 or 9am. Moderate pace.

Fun ride today. Lots of bugs on Maple Springs though. Almost ran over a rattler coming down Motorway

Glad you liked it. Not much to say. My iPod kept me company throughout the climbing which was most of the ride. Paved section sucked as expected but felt pretty good the whole way. It's been awhile since I've done this ride. Almost cleaned that one steep section before motorway which thouroghly kicked my ass last time. Thought the top was just around the corner and spent too much energy getting there only to find out it was around the next bend after that . Kind of regret not going to the towers.

Will Maple Springs remain open throughout the summer? I thought at some point, it closed due to some toad mating or something.

I think it usually closes before now. Not exactly sure why it's still open but at some point during the year it does close for the toad's mating season. The gate was open also, btw (in case anyone wants to off-road).
