Default The curbs are red in shuttle land

Headed back out to you know where (SSDHC meeting #1) with the DH bike to do you know what and as we rounded the corner onto the street at the top that we normally park on Notice that all of the curbs in front of the housing has been painted red and I believe that is official as they did a really nice job even repainted the addresses back over the red on white rectangles with a nice logo to boot. They also rounded the the culdasak (spelling) with the red paint and headed a ways down the opposite side of the street painting 2 Handicapped spaces by the gate. We ended up parking trucks a little bit further down the street than normal but it still works out.

Rumor has it that someone took out a mailbox 2 weeks ago so they are cracking down...

If you head out there be nice, drive slow and be respectful of the home owners along the way...

we were there yesterday when the were painting them.... to me it's kind of dumb, all there complaining cost them the right to park in front of there own house.... The residents tried to ask the city if they could get a special permit to park there and the city said no..... I guess that's what you get for b*tching.....

Thats to funny that they complained now no one can park there. Hope they have big garages and driveways or never have company.

yeah, sounds like they kinda f'd themselves with their own personal parking. but it's a good warning to all. the power of home owners associations is strong - i've seen my hood in the hills change quite a bit due to it, mostly for the better thankfully, but i wouldn't be happy to wake up one morning and see my curbs painted red. be courteous. respect.

I'd say they shot themselves in the foot. I am sure they are not happy about the bike riders, but WTF do you expect when you buy a house right near a big open area like that? Other people park there too I am sure. Doggie walkers and hikers as well. It's not JUST the shuttlers.

I was driving rather slowly one time toward the place where you turn left and this woman comes out of her garage screamin' at me about how fast I was going and how I should be careful etc. She was seriously mad and taking it out on me. I said very calmly that I had two small kids myself and I always drive super carefully in residential areas.

It's like the parking at Kenter. It amazes me how rude those people are there. The nerve of us parking on a public street and riding our bikes! We should be ashamed of ourselves....
