Ride in the San Gabriels?

I'm looking at doing Strawberry Loop this Saturday, I'm still working my way back to medium shape so the pace won't be balistic. Parking will be part way down the Switzer's campground road.. It's suppose to be a hot one this weekend so I look to get underway at 8am.

If there is interest I'm down for parking at JPL and shuttling up to the Crest and Forrest Hwy. junction, then, ride the Loop and ride Red Box back to JPL.

Meet time at JPL would be 7:30am.

Bring a radio!!!

If it wasn't for the fact that I'm already looking forward to hittin' the SART Saturday, I'd be game for some berry. I'm no wind sprite so you being not in the best shape right now (so you say) would only help me; not hurt me.

Maybe another weekend soon, hopefully when it starts getting a little cooler.

I thought about doing SART, but after doing El Prieto back on the 8th and having to stop once I figure I have a long way to go before I take on some longer rides. I did make it up Sullivan ridge last Saturday without stopping, and it was about 90F, and I'm back to running too!

I have a little motorola, I think I have the channel set to 6 and code 24. Back in the day we use to just set it to the date so when you would join the group you where good to go. But then someone said that this channel was the strongest which is weird because these radios work on a 12,500 mhz, the channel doesn't have anything to do with reception... Whatever. My buttons for changing the channel are rotted away.

If you want to shuttle and go all the way back to JPL I am up for that. I almost died on this ride trying to keep up with epicriderat and kanga but it is worth it.
Let me know. I would bring one more with me.

Oh wow! I just got you message here, I'll pm you my number. Call me in the morning, I've set up parking with 1080P for switzers but I'd like to do the shuttle! I'm leaving El segundo tomorrow at 7am, will call 1080P tonight to see if he's down for the shuttle.

If we shuttle where do you want to meet in the morning? JPL? Haul 4 bikes up in a truck or van? Pickup of shuttle vehicle?
