Default SD Peeps: Mammoth Sep 4-7

I’m looking for 2 or so San Diego folks interested in heading to Mammoth Sep 4-7 Sep. But before you hit the yes button, here’s the itinerary:

Thursday: Leave North County around 2 am (yes, THAT early), on bikes by 9 am, ride the full Rock Creek trail like you’ve never done before for a one-way epic of 5,000’ descent, but be warned you’ll have some riding/Hike-a-bike above 9,800’ at the start, check into cabin/condo late afternoon, nap, late night poaching of a favorite trail.
Friday: Ride Mammoth from opening to closing
Saturday: Ride Mammoth from opening to closing
Sunday: Check out of cabin/condo, morning option of checking out Devil’s Postpile NM or half day at Mammoth, on the road by 1230pm.

Most of us are advanced/expert riders and we'll be riding a mix of AM, XC, and some DH. 2 of us have ridden Mammoth before, 2 haven't. Some folks are bringing a 2nd dedicated DH bike for Sat. I haven't done lodging yet but expecting total cost (gas/lodging/food/lift tickets) to be under $350. I'll need a deposit for lodging shortly after folks commit. I'd also consider one stop off I-15 for pickup point Temecula or north. PM if interested.

Sean, you want to start this cannonball run downtown? I didn't think so.

PM me your address and I'll put a check in the mail for the deposit.

Hmm.... no takers?

Maybe all the pics from moab of bare ass and guys giving the finger has given the rest of STR a bad impression of us! We're not really like that, folks. Well, Ben is.
