Hey Jesse

Just a heads up - This is not the same route as the ride you did a few months ago

I'll be riding my SS which is my only bike: 26" 32x18

So is the 9 am ride the one where you ride down SART then ride back up the fire road back to the cars? If so then I'll be doing the 9 am ride.

From the first SART ride I did

Jessie, Traci's right, the route we did was a "shuttle" we did NOT climb SART.

I also added the workable link to RSVP to the ride post in the calendar.

So the group that leaves from Loch Leven at 7am will be doing 50+ mi.? Is that correct?

How many opportunities will there be to refill water bottles?

or will I need a camel back - hopefully not.

According to the Geoladders link provided, this ride is around 24.5 miles and 2125 ascent. Is that about right or is there more? You 7 am'ers starting @ Loch Leven can have it. No gracias, amigos!

I need to be in San Diego by 6 so I want to be sure I have enough time.

Stongly recommend bringing Camelbak. Some people ran out water before we hit the watering station. Bring real food as well.

Like others have said its closer to 30-31 miles if you go all the way to South Fork.

I think if you leave from Angeles Oaks and go directly to SD you can make it. If you have to home to get cleaned up, probably not.

Normally, I would say yes... but sometimes it's much more of an adventure riding through bushes and over rocks looking for a trail that SHOULD be there... but wasn't (shortcut!)

If you start at the bottom you can refill in Angelus Oaks then again at Southfork. Half way thru the ride, you could do a out and back to Barton Flats if needed and get water. Or bring a water filter, we cross three blue line streams and we are never further than 1/2 mile from the Santa Ana River.
