Depending on when, I'm always up for this one, though I'd probably ride up early and meet the group instead of shuttle it. Keep me as a possibility.

Not only would Steve ride-up but if you bring along a Bob trailer, he might serve you all as the shuttle vehicle. Yes, he's that nutty!

Several possibilities.... 1) climb the gab (most likely), 2) climb Mt. Lowe and meet at Redbox, 3) climb from Gould Mesa to the road, then Mt. Lukens to Grizzly to Hoyt.

Also, I'd suggest doing it with Colby: Climb the Gab from Switzers to Redbox, to SP and down Colby to the Gab and back to JPL. If you're shuttling you can start it at Redbox and skip the gab climb.

Sunday could work for me.

epicriderat
joetruth
dstepper

Which day works better for everyone, I'm thinking Saturday morning maybe around 7:00am. We want to start early to avoid as much of that midday sun as possible.

No Strawberry for me, I have road trips planned for the next 3 weekends.

Yes, JPL, Gould Mesa, Oakwilde, Switzers, Redbox.

I usually climb lower merrill to the Mt. Lowe fire road to eaton saddle. Or you can climb El Prieto, then take the fireroad all the way up. The second half of the fire road is an easy grade 6 - 10%, and the first half is very steep and paved.

Is everyone set on doing the clockwise SP loop, up Josephine? Better bang for your shuttling buck is to skip the fire road and start at redbox. It's an easier climb out of the meadow and a way more technical descent on Colby (with serious exposure in places). But you miss the Redbox Switzers descent section of the Gab, so there is a trade-off. You can climb the road for 1.5 miles and drop in right above the waterfall section on the gab though.

Just throwing out ideas. I'm happy to ride whatever.
