Whiting/STT/Luge - Thursday afternoon

When: Thursday, 20 April 2006 - 4pm roll out (can you make it Pat???)

Where: Whiting/STT/Luge/Whiting - followed by some burritos and brews at Wahoo's

Meet at and roll out from the Glenn Ranch Road parking lot at Whiting.

In case you are wondering why "that" parking lot: It is the middle of the day and the middle of the week and I don't want to tempt any tow happy biz with a red xterra covered in mtb stickers...$3 is worth my piece of mind....

Did a loop thru Whiting last night - Serrano, Mustard, 4-Corners, Cactus, Vulture View and out Live Oak. Trails are in great shape, and there's water in about half of the creek crossings on Serrano. Couple of little grooves at the top of Cactus but that's it - have a good ride!

I'm going to ride from my house up there, so that's a 5+ mile uphill road ride. Plus I have been really lazy lately and not riding much.

Dude, the last time you said "I haven't ridden much" you rode up maple springs to the peaks and down both HJs to Trabuco! Though that was the first (and probably last) time I ever was faster than you !

Awesome ride today. We started off with Craig, Matt, Dell, Lance, Lucas and myself. Lucas had to turn around after going through 4 inner tubes(sorry Lucas take a look at that rim it might be the culprite). Craig, Matt and myself hit the gap at the beginning of the Luge, it's really over rated. It was an awesome ride all around, we hit up Wahoo's afterwards for some great food.

Thanks for posting steve! Yeah, everything went smooth except for a record number of flats, mechanicals, and tweaking among Lucas, Dell, and Craig!
Burritos and brews was the icing on the cake!
