Default Beach Cruiser Birthday Bash/Bonfire

Just throwing this out there to gauge how many people would be interested in participating. My birthday is on the 31st of July which is a Thursday so I was thinking of having a ride simmilar to Mondo's beach cruiser ride and then a bonfire in Huntington afterwards. This ride would take place on the 2nd of August which is a Saturday.

The ride would start on Main St. under the pier, head down to Newport then after causing trouble down there head back to huntington for the bonfire. Afterwards those that were 21+ could head to main st. and have some adult beverages.

So if you're interested just post something up as I might plan something else that weekend if there is no interest.

why not start the ride off beach or brookhurst since that is where we will end up at the early evening? then we could drive back down to main st. area perhaps??? i could be down for the events.

Sounds good Bret. The Parking lot across from the Hyatt or Hilton sounds like a good place to start (I think thats close to Beach Blvd).

Well where you start would depend on what beach your doing the bonfire at. If you plan on going to State beach then yes starting down at Beach may make sense but if you plan to go to City beach then Main st area makes sense.

Also just heads up pits can get snatched up really quick so we may not get a pit if we ride all day then try to get one.

Hey jesse, you sure you don't just want to got to the mammoth beer and blues festival that weekend?

Beer, epic riding, really good beer, hot springs, lots of really good beer, hot springs with girls from the beer festival, a brewery around the corner, hot springs with the girls that were pouring beer at the beer festival..............and Johnny f'n Lang playing saturday night?!?!?

But yeah, a beach cruise would be damn fun too...I mean, it is Huntington at the height of summer on your birthday...USDA Grade...gotta check the serve by date though...

Damn wordy beers.

I would definitely be there Jesse - plus my dad works for Phat Cycles so I can probably borrow a few demo bikes(cruisers) for those that want to cruise in style....

I'd love to make it, but the 2nd is my wedding day. Don't you want to head out to Mammoth for your bday? They have the blues/brews festival?!?!?!? I think there's camping still available....

If not, I'll say a special toast for you

Ok so I'm pretty sure this is going to happen. I'm going to try and get some of my friends who won't be bike riding to reserve a bonfire pit while those who are bike riding are out and about. I'll post more details later but the 1st post basically sums up my plans for the day.
