Default Santa Monica Mountains Ride

RSVP Here

Four of us are going to do Sullivan Canyon this Saturday at 8am. Feel free to join if your interested, the ride/route details may change slightly so if your planning on joining check back frequently, we're still trying to nail down the exact route and time.

We're thinking this route. But we may start on the city side as opposed to the valley.

Let me know what you think.

Both of those options are awesome. If I do end up riding on Saturday morning and decide to stay local, I'd definitely like to meet up with you guys. I'd be riding in from Brentwood.

We've decided to go with Nagaredama's suggestion, the new route will be Farmers, JDrop, Squirrel Cage. Roll time will still be 8am, I'll have a meeting location soon as well.

I might join you guys also...might also have mistakenly RSVP'd without meaning to. I will confirm yes or no tomorrow evening.

Did this loop back in May, at least I think I did or something similare. It seems everyone has different names for these singletracks, so I am not sure. But the JDrop was in really bad shape from rain run off. Not rideable, quite a challenge. I am sure long travel bike DH guys would love it...but could be in better shape now with more people desending it. I went for it and OTB'd it on my Blur, went for it again and almost went over....so I HAB it down.

J-Drop is gnarly but people ride it on rigid bikes (not that I could). All it takes is riding it regularly and you'll be good to do. I'm still trying to figure parts out. It is the only really techy trail in the area that I know of.

Gah, I will be riding Devil's Punchbowl Saturday AM...I hit part of this trail last weekend as my first trail ever. Have fun out there! I hope to make it to the next one!

Anyone have suggestions on parking/meeting in the area - I've never started this trail at the bottom of Sullivan Canyon?

Yes but be sure to read to the signs. I always park on Bayliss, south of Queensferry.
