Default Blackstar to Sierra on Wednesday (7/9) after work. Or BS to Beeks with Pamela.

Blackstar to Sierra Peak Wednesday after work.

Are you out of singlespeed shape too? Riding up Blackstar to Sierra Peak on the sspeed. Be nice to see Sierra when it isn't dark out. Meet at 5:45pm at the tree farm starting soon after. Would like to keep it moving and go car to car in under 3 hours. (I hope).

http://www.geoladders.com/show_route.php?route=2916

Changed meet time to 5:45pm. Yes, the man has me stuck in training till 5pm.

I think Pamela has a group going to Beek's Place around the same time. Paging Pam, post up your details here if you'd like.

Carl count me in! Haven't rode my own bike in a while due to the wheel being serviced and I just picked it up last night along with some new pedals. Dont work on wed so I'll try to be there early.

Sounds good Jesse. But I'm sure Pamela can bring the Cannondale Super V in case you want some more cush instead.

I had a great time meeting and chatting with all of you. I did feel a little inadequate on the ride since I was not packin a blade! Also blazing down blackstar in the dark aint so bad. Jesse tried to race me(he had a light) but I soon droped him. I'm sure he has an excuse.....
Great ride guys and Pamela!

i didn't escort Pam. I was the guy who was racing nightfall down the hill and saw you guys at the minigrand canyon.

My bike lost a bolt and i had a forced 15 minute break while trying to figure out what the heck i was gonna do about it.

I decided to walk back rather than risk breaking the bike and luckily i found the bolt about a half mile back!

I was at the gate at 5:45 and there were no sight of anyone else, I left shortly thereafter. I did see a gorgeous bobcat low down the hill near the houses.

I think I must have seen most of you on my way down.

Jesse told me that he pinch flatted trying to stay with you. That's his excuse and I think he's stickin' to it.

Hugh,Slapshots, and dubjay, it was a pleasure to meet you guys and I hope I didn't hold you guys up too bad.

Goodtimes last night guys. Haha, I tried to stay with HisHughness but my heartrate quickly redlined. I was having to stand and mash, while Hugh was sitting and just took off like a rocket. I think he put at least 2 miles between us by the time he hit the gate. Nice of you to turn around, head back down the trail and do repeats picking up all of us stragglers!

Slapshotz, glad you found that bolt. That would have been a long walk back to the car. Gotta pack that complete bolt kit like Weyland, even though he was riding a hardtail?! Btw, Let me know if you need a light next time we do this ride.

Pamela, riding down in the dark! The light offer goes for you too.

Grant, we PARKED at the TREE FARM.

Okay guys, I got the memo so to speak and know that everyone is packing steel for this ride. Especially Freek, who was packing the scary pocket butchering tool. I'll throw my shank in the pack for next time for sure. Hugh, will have to sport one of those knives strapped to his legs since he don't camelback it.

And what was up with the unfriendlies coming down Blackstar. We don't even get a blink out of those guys when we said hi as they went riding by. I will admit, that Sherriff hanging out at the gate must be one of the nicest law enforcement dudes I've met in a long while.

Thanks Carl. Regarding shanks, it's required for those of us who are slower since we get left in the dust and have to fend off wild animals on our own Had i not found that bolt, i might have become a tasty meal for a pack of wolves or something.

Sorry slapshot thought it was you - thanks dubjay for the escort with pho'dup. Last night was fun until my light took off racing Hugh down the mountain.

Grant - I thought that was you but wasnt sure. I use to park by the gate until I got a ticket on July 4th. I didnt know it wasnt allowed. Now I park at the Tree Farm.

Pho'dup... I have a light it was just in the car... I tried to turn around earlier. Normally if I turn around at sunset I am good. Sunset was 8:03 but my nice Computer cant keep time. Found that out the hard way last night. Thank you for the offer.

Thankfully those knives came in handy to get rid of the antena's on my hemet. Oh and Pho'dup those guys must have been the 8:30 group. They were to good to say hi to the early group! j/k

I think Jesse needs a To-Do list before each ride...

1. Do I have a roter? IS it installed?
2. Do I have break pads? Are they the correct size? Do they work properly?
3. Do I have a tube?
4. Do I have water?
5. Do I have a helmet?
6. Do I have a rubber band?
7. Is my head screwed on?

Can anyone add anything???
